Training

Brooke is our head trainer, enrichment specialist, and Operations Manager.  She has received training as a Certified Dog Trainer/Behaviour Therapist of Canine Correspondence Studies and International Positive Dog Training Association Certified Dog Trainer (certification pending).  Brooke has adapted her own style of training through her formal education and hands-on experience working in various pet care industries including our community animal shelter and humane society providing care to animals in need.  Brooke has also gained experience through training her dog, our very own Chief Play Officer, Charlie, and working with various clients to reach their dog training goals through private instruction.

At Barkaritaville our focus is on relationship building for you and your beloved pet and real life training that is going to enhance your everyday lives together.  We help dog owners train their dogs to fit the lifestyle they would like to enjoy together, be it lounging on the couch or in the backyard to hiking and camping in the woods or spending time with their favourite family members. As all dogs and families are different we strive to provide training that is useful and easy to implement while being fun and enriching.  Training is done through luring techniques, playing games to enhance engagement and practicing, practicing, practicing.

Training your dog is a continuous adventure and we want to ensure you and your dog have the tools and techniques you need to develop an incredible relationship you will both benefit from.
